The PBS documentary, "The Jewish Americans," begins tonight at 9 p.m. The mini-series will be shown in two-hour installments every Wednesday night through Jan. 23.
Unfortunately, I could not find any video clips that I could embed on this page. Instead, here's a link to the PBS Web site where they have about 30 or so clips from the show. The PBS folks also posted video of several outtakes from the film, including conversations with Tony Kushner, Alfred Uhry, Letty Cottin, Mandy Patinkin, Jules Feiffer and more.
If you would prefer to read about the mini-series, there are plenty of reviews on the Web:
• PBS explores Jews' history in U.S. (Reuters via Yahoo! News)
• PBS's Jewish documentary has surprises (Lansing State Journal)
• Jewish series mirrors American immigrant story (Cleveland Jewish News)
• Making Way in America: Jewish Identities and Personal Allegiances (N.Y. Times)
• The Power Of A Hyphen (Jewish World Review)
Happy watching!
